Participants will receive a $5,000 stipend, round trip travel expenses to Provo, Utah,as well as room and board. In addition, selected students will be funded to travel to a regional meeting of the American Physical Society to give a presentation on their research results.
June 9, 2014-August 15, 2014 at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
We have two parallel programs for undergraduate students (REU) and secondary school teachers (RET). Undergraduates must be enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university and be graduating after September 2014. Teachers must be currently employed as a secondary school teacher. All participants must be U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens
Applications received by February 10, 2014 will receive first consideration. Click on the link to the left for more information and to apply online. We are especially interested in applications from students from minority groups who are underrepresented in physics or who come from schools which don't have graduate research programs.
